Synopsis: Third in the popular series heralds the return of Chow Sing-Sing (Stephen Chow), the obnoxious undercover cop who seems to get into all sorts of trouble — while undercover. This time he doesn?t go back to school. Instead, Wong Jing concocts a Basic Instinct parody where Chow goes undercover as the husband of a wealthy socialite (Anita Mui). Luckily, Chow is a dead ringer for her dead hubby, who was done in by an ice pick. This turn of events doesn?t sit well with fianc?e Cheung Man, who?s sick of Chow going undercover. Despite her protests, Chow goes about his duty and finds himself strangely drawn to the typically fun Mui. However, Mui may be a Sharon Stone-type bad guy. Even worse, hints arise that indicate that Cheung Man may be playing around on the side, too. And yes, there are lesbians somewhere in the movie. No Ng Man-Tat this time, so Chan Bak-Cheung fills his role. This installment serves up stranger and funnier laughs than earlier Fight Back to School movies. This can be attributed to the loss of director Gordon Chan, who has a surer directorial hand than Wong Jing, who never met a joke he didn?t like. The whole film is rather throwaway and unimportant, but some of the laughs are drop-dead funny, and Chow and Mui are a terrific comic pairing.
